What is Kybella®?
It’s a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid that permanently destroys fat cells. How does it work?
A trained healthcare professional like those of us at Denver Vein Center, administer Kybella® by injecting it right into the submental fat under the chin. The number of injections depends on the person and varies from one treatment to the next. A minimum of two procedures per patient is required. Depending on the patient’s goals, no more than six treatments will suffice with visible results occurring within two to four treatments.
Before the procedure, a prescription numbing cream is prescribed by doctors which patients are advised to apply one hour before the treatment. Kybella® overall is relatively comfortable, but the professionals at Denver Vein Center have Ibuprofen and Tylenol on-hand to manage any discomfort.
