Laser Genesis Skin Therapy is a technologically advanced way to promote healthy skin in men and women. It treats conditions such as aging and sun damage like excessive redness, uneven texture, large pores and fine lines and wrinkles in as little as four to six treatments.  

What Does It Do?

Photorejuvenation or Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatments are used for:

• Lightens and removes sun and age spots
• Reduces redness, rosacea, dilated blood vessels, and broken vessels in the face, neck, and chest
• Controls flushing
• Improves skin texture using collagen stimulation

How Does It Work?

The laser/IPL device emits light waves that are targeted at the red blood cells or freckles and age spots. The beam passes through the skin and is absorbed by the hemoglobin or melanin that damages the vessel wall. These vessels and the melanin pigment are absorbed by the body, making them less visible.

How Long Will It Take?

Most people find 3-5 treatments feasible. Each treatment is about 1 month apart. You will notice improvements after every session, however. The more redness or sun damage you have, you should expect to have 5 or more procedures to see desired results.

What Should I Expect?

You may experience mild discomfort during the treatment. However, most patients tolerate the procedure very quickly. The first treatment is usually the most uncomfortable, and it gets more tolerable from there. Each therapy takes 30-90 minutes each, depending on the area you’re having treated.

What’s The Healing Time?

If you are having veins treated, the skin will appear red for up to five days, but you can use makeup right after the treatment if it’s applied and removed gently. There is rarely bruising but if so, expect about 1-2 weeks for that to resolve. Freckles and age spots will look darker for 3-7 days and sometimes crusting can occur which lasts up to ten days.
