What is CoolSculpting?

For those stubborn fat bulges that resist a healthy diet and exercise, CoolSculpting at Denver Vein may be the answer for you. CoolSculpting is the only FDA-cleared, non-surgical treatment to eliminate fat using controlled cooling or “fat freezing.” Denver Vein offers the CoolSculpting procedure which targets fat cells underneath the skin using a gentle and effective, precisely controlled cooling treatment. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen) and then die. Over time, the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead fat cells leaving a more sculpted look. The FDA has approved the CoolSculpting treatment for the abdomen, sides (love handles), inner thighs, outer thighs, and for the stubborn double chin.  Remember when searching for CoolSculpting, Denver Vein is certified and has undergone training to ensure that you get the best results.

How CoolSculpting Works

The CoolSculpting treatment came about after scientists at Harvard University observed that some children who ate popsicles got dimples in their cheeks. This led the scientists to determine the popsicles were freezing and eliminating small pockets of fat cells. Further study and research led to the theory that cold can target fat cells, without damaging the skin or surrounding tissue, leading to insight behind Cryolipolysis, the science of freezing fat and eliminating it, upon which the CoolSculpting treatment is based.

CoolSculpting, Denver Vein’s fat reduction procedure, is noninvasive and is the perfect treatment for getting ready for the spring and summer seasons.  During the procedure, CoolSculpting technology uses cold energy to treat the affected area, effectively targeting fat cells which are frozen and die off. Only the targeted fat cells are affected, leaving your skin, nerves, blood vessels, and other tissue intact. In the weeks that follow, your body naturally eliminates the dead fat cells through the body’s waste process.

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure actually reduces the number of fat cells in the treated area by about 20% to 25%. The results from CoolSculpting at Denver Vein are notably different than losing weight. Losing weight does not change the number of fat cells in the body, which typically becomes a fixed number in our teenage years. Losing weight simply makes the fat cells smaller, and the number of fat cells does not decrease. With CoolSculpting, however, the fat cells in the treated area are eliminated over time, and those treated fat cells are gone forever, leaving a more sculpted you!
